Technical Support Engineer / Junior System Administrator

Responsibilities:

Monitor the availability and performance of key information systems, servers, and network resources.

Respond promptly to incidents, logging and resolving technical issues according to Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Handle user requests via the Help Desk system: logging, classifying, escalating, and resolving issues.

Service client server hardware, including rack mounting/dismounting, diagnostics, and initial inspections.
-
Perform network configuration tasks for client equipment, such as configuring ports and VLANs, and assigning/tracking IP addresses.

Install and perform initial configuration of Linux servers.
-
Support client web hosting, work with control panels (e.g., cPanel, Plesk), and resolve content display issues.

Provide technical support for co-location and virtual server rental services, including tracking deployed equipment.
Requirements:
-
1+ year of experience in a technical support or system administrator role.

Proficiency with monitoring systems (e.g., Zabbix, Prometheus) and Help Desk platforms (e.g., GLPI, OTRS, Freshdesk).

Solid understanding of IT infrastructure principles: servers, switches, VLANs, IP addressing.

Skills in mounting, installing, and servicing server hardware (including third-party client physical servers).

Experience configuring network interfaces and managing network resources (ports, IPs, VLANs).

Basic installation and configuration skills for Linux operating systems (e.g., Debian, Ubuntu, Rocky Linux).

Knowledge and experience with web hosting control panels (e.g., ISPmanager, cPanel, Plesk).

Basic understanding of email service principles and common software (e.g., Postfix, Dovecot).

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and politely to clients.

Responsible, punctual, and willing to work shifts and adhere to SLA protocols.
