Conference results - .UZ Domain Administration celebrated its 29th anniversary with new projects

During the event, new services and projects implemented by the .UZ Domain Administration were presented.

One of the key events was the signing of a memorandum on mutual cooperation between the "United Integrator UZINFOCOM" LLC and "Uzbek Republican Commodity Exchange" JSC. Within the framework of this document, an electronic online auction will be held to increase the starting price of vacated domain names with a popular combination of letters and digits of the ".UZ" domain zone.

All information on domain name auction sales will be stored in an immutable data registry - the Token.uz blockchain platform. This ensures that the information will remain unchanged and the auction process will be transparent and reliable.

Also at the event, an update of the registration system for .UZ/API ver.3.0 was presented. The new version of the API provides expanded opportunities for registrars, simplifying and automating many processes. In addition, new features for registrar and DNSSEC Automation upgrades were introduced. These updates are aimed at improving the security and reliability of .UZ domains.

The event summarized the results of the year on the blockchain-based NFT Certificates project. This project allows to confirm the right to own a domain with the help of unique NFT certificates. Announcements of updates from partner registrars were also presented. As well as RDAP protocol - a new information transfer protocol for domain names. Registrars shared their plans to develop and improve services for domain owners.

Special attention was paid to the topic of biometric identification of users. Representatives of the MyID project told about the innovation in remote user identification, which allows to simplify and secure the process of domain registration.

The event was rich and interesting. Administration of .UZ domain demonstrated its labor in improving the work and security of the Internet of Uzbekistan.

It is worth noting that .UZ is a popular domain in Central Asia. For 29 years of its existence, it has become an integral part of the Uzbek Internet and a symbol of the country's digital development.
