Information security in the era of digital transformation: seminars in Alokabank JSC with participation of UZINFOCOM Single Integrator

The seminars brought together both rank-and-file employees and representatives of various levels of the bank's management.

According to PwC estimates, global financial sector spending on information security is growing by 3-4% annually. However, today the main target of attackers is not financial institutions themselves, but their clients. The focus of attention is on information protection and countering cyber threats.

During the seminars, EPC experts explained the following topics in detail:

  • Cybersecurity and combating financial fraud: participants familiarized themselves with modern methods of cyberattacks targeting financial institutions, as well as measures to counter them.
  • Crimes committed through the use of information technology: common cybercrimes, methods of their commission and ways to protect against them were discussed.
  • Risk of disclosure of personal information and measures to prevent it: participants learned about the importance of protecting the personal data of bank customers and the measures to be taken for this purpose.
  • Cyber hygiene: experts shared recommendations on safe use of information technologies in everyday work.

In the conditions of digital transformation, IS is becoming an increasingly critical factor for ensuring the sustainability and competitiveness of financial organizations.  Alocabank, as one of the leading banks in Uzbekistan, pays great attention to IS issues and constantly improves its protection systems. Holding such seminars is a part of this work and contributes to improving the level of cyber security of the Bank. The acquired knowledge will help the Bank's staff to respond more effectively to cyber threats and ensure security of information systems and confidential data of clients.
