Specialists at Single Integrator UZINFOCOM are receiving training in international medical standards LOINC and SNOMED CT.
The training is part of a project to develop Uzbekistan’s National Digital Healthcare Platform, carried out in collaboration with the German Development Bank (KfW). The sessions are led by Martynas Bieliauskas, a Lithuanian physician, international expert, and head of the National SNOMED CT Terminology Management Center.

What are LOINC and SNOMED CT, and why are they important?
LOINC and SNOMED CT are globally recognized standards for medical terminology, designed to ensure accurate and consistent communication of clinical information across electronic health systems.
These standards:
- Improve the accuracy of medical documentation
- Enable seamless data exchange between different systems
- Lay a strong foundation for integrating electronic health records
- Facilitate advanced analytics and medical research
- Ensure alignment with international healthcare regulations
The training will help establish a unified approach to structuring medical data in Uzbekistan and boost the effectiveness of digital healthcare solutions developed by our team.
