What you need to know about Power of Attorney in Uzbekistan

To issue a PoA, only the grantor needs to be present with their details — the representative (the person receiving the authority) does not need to be there. While most PoAs are notarized, certain types can be certified by your employer, university, housing administration, or the head of a medical institution (e.g., for receiving wages or mail).

The validity period is set by the grantor but cannot exceed three years. If no date is specified, the PoA is valid for one year by default.
A PoA cannot be issued if the document violates the law or is submitted by a person without the necessary legal authority.
